One of latest hybrids to emerge from the Nike Dunks drawing board and into the shops is the High which Nike describes as an urban-inspired sneaker that you can wear with just about anything. Im not sure who the designer is (if you come across this let me know) but he or she did a nice job with the artwork on these sneakers. This must be a one off pair of Blazers which were probably done for a customer whos a Kanye fan. The sneakers feature the colors which you can find on Kanye’s Graduation album. Purple, black and white. The artist also took the time to do up the bear which Nike Dunks has tagged most of his albums with. One side has the bear in the same position as on the cover (shooting up into the sky) and the other sneaker has the face of the bear wearing a pair of sunglasses you would find Kanye wearing.
For the designing of the upper Nike looked to it’s classic Blazer for inspiration however extra adding in the ankle and some variations in the way the paneling is laid out on the upper ensures the High maintains a unique look compared to the original Blazers. Sitting below the upper is a vulcanized sole unit which is starting to become the norm for a lot of Nike’s hybrid designs.A Black version of the Navaro High was released at the beginning of the year and this new Nike Dunk High Custom Womens Black Polka Dot Pink is the latest colorup to hit distributors.
