Nike Blazers  »  Nike Dunks  »  Nike Dunk High  »  Nike Dunk High White-Purple Steel-Birch

Before Michael Jordan released his first signature shoe, the Nike SB were the shoe of choice, and they did just fine. First released as a high top in 1985, the Nike Dunk blessed the basketball scene and took the game to a whole new level. It came in a multitude of colorways, and was also released in team colors of superior college basketball teams. During the 1985-86 NCAA tournament, it was worn by topped rank universities such as Syracuse, Michigan, UNLV, and Arizona. It was easy to coordinate with team colors, as they came with different colored laces and a matching shoebox. The Nike Dunk High features White-Purple Steel-Birch and released with style code 309432-151 and now available at our online store.

Nike launched the Nike SB line in March of 2002 at the start of the rise of the Skateboarding trend. For years in California, the skate culture was very popular and skateboarding shoes and clothes were worn more as casual wear than by actual skateboarders. Nike saw the potential to tapping into this market and thus launched the Nike Skateboarding line. Nike launched their skateboarding lines on the back of the Nike Dunk High. The Nike Skateboarding Dunks were the same shape and fit as the Nike Dunks, but with several performance changes.
