The Nike dunk SB has extra padding, and has a characteristically 'puffy' tongue which has became a perquisite for all skateboarding shoes in the US. In fact, many Nike dunk SB shoes have become collector's items and Nike is actively collaborating with designers to release limited edition or collector's editions for their Nike dunk SB shoes.

In addition, Nike dunk SB shoes are produced in limited quantities adding to their desirability and appeal. Nike dunk SB shoes are so popular that a pair of Nike dunk SB shoes called 'what the dunks' sold for nearly $1800 on eBay. Also, 'first day' release of some Nike dunk SB shoes have caused Nike fans to swamp retail outlets a few days before the release date. Collaborated with a group of pro skaters and artists to create three new sneakers. Dubbed as the Nike SB Custom Series 02 Pico dos Sonhos Dunk Highs, each sneakers features a sock liner with art from the murals.

Here is an update for all the SB heads out there. Recently, Nike SB Brazil launched Custom Series II. The Custom Series II involves 3 skaters working with 3 artists. Fabio Cristiano worked with artists Luis Felipe Volpi and Caue Rodrigues; Cezar Gordo worked with artist Rafel Chavez; and Rodrigo Petersen worked with artist Rimon Guimaraes. The final result of the collab was so that the artists and skaters come together to create a mirage/dream spot to skate. Displayed below are the huge murals created by each artists during their sessions with the skaters. And also, it is quite amzing as the sockliners were cut from the giant murals to create unique sockliners for each of the 480 pairs of Nike SB Dunk High Shoes.
