Nike SB Dunk High Premium Bloody Gums

The Nike SB releases keep coming, as the stateside release of the Nike SB Dunk High “Gucci” and “Bloody Gums” is expected sometime in the very new future. For the time being though, both can be had online.

The “Gucci” Highs are similar to the Clark Kent Dunks we covered in depth not too long ago, though these are the original design featuring denim instead of corc skin. The outsole is red also, rather then the gum the Kent version appeared with. The demand for their return has been high, and it looks like Nike has answered. The “Bloody Gums” use an all suede upper, mixing teal and red. Color blocking varies for these from the Nike Dunks we’re used to seeing, as the rear flap is red and the toe box is teal. The outsole is clear, revealing a red underside.

This bright and colorful Nike SB Dunk High Premium, which is being called the “Bloody Gums” Dunk, has been released in Asia and is will hit the US sometime in the month of November. The shoe is composed of a premium suede upper that uses a mixture of colors including Aqua Blue, Varsity Red, and a Soft Grey, the midsole comes in a clean White color, while the outsole is completely “iced out”. The shoe pays homage to the fight against gingivitis with a toothpaste-inspired Red/Light Blue/White suede upper capped off by a translucent outsole that features some textural “bloody gums” graphics underneath, giving the otherwise simple design a subtle, but clever extra touch of flavor. The red/blue/white upper made from suede is suppose to represent toothpaste while the translucent outsole features graphics to resemble bloody gums. The colorway itself is pretty dope, not to mention we defiantly love our suede sneakers, however the design on the outsole is really what grasps our attention and helps to wrap up the theme to the sneakers.

A few days ago, we brought you some new pics of the Bloody Gums edition of the Nike SB Dunk High, but we still hadn’t seen detailed shots of the bottom of those soles. Now we finally get a clear understanding of exactly how these kicks got their nickname. In previous pics you could see that there was some kind of graphic image beneath the clear outsole, but here we finally get a clear image of those awful “Bloody Gums” that cover the bottom of both soles. Without the disturbing outsole, the shoe still sports a fresh look thanks to a combination of Varsity Red and Light Blue suede with some splashes of White thrown in, but its the gingivitis-infested imagery that give these kicks the kind of extra touch of flavor that only Nike SB can deliver.

The Nike SB Dunk High Bloody Gums sounds like an interesting drop. With an all suede upper divided into blue and red sections to represent toothpaste and bleeding gums and a clear outsole that has a graphic of a dental disease being advertised you have to wonder what sparked this creation? Is gingervitis plagueing the skate community or something? Regardless to why these look to be super clean and when more pictures/info is available its all yours.
